Training the last few days has taken a back seat to children’s illnesses and work. It has been impossible to put the time in, except for one 8 mile run which was so easy I could have done it all again. It is great when running gets like this. But funnily enough the first 10 to 20 minutes are always hell and its usually takes to at least 4 miles before I have relaxed into a stride and controlled breathing .
Today’s circuits went brilliantly. I feel that I am improving a bit. The session was slightly more intense than previous sessions with less recovery time between exercises and sets. My press-ups went really badly though, only 12 proper press-up and about 20 girlie ones. I think this is because I had just done a dumb bell shoulder exercise which practically wiped me out.
Last Thursday I had a fight training session, learning some self defence blocks and looking at some grappling moves on the floor. Since then I have had a great time watching any martial arts films and trying to recognise my new moves! The boxing fitness is amazing. It does absolute wonders for a lady’s arms!
I am working on trying to get some sponsorship from my favourite local department store. Hopefully this would mean some trainers and a bit of kit. Also I am trying to generate some interest from the BBC. I am hoping that the support will help with the motivation and keep me on target with the training.
I have had a busy few days since my last blog; I won a modelling competition in Bury St Edmunds (the judges were blind!), and both children have had their birthdays. I have been getting the horses ready for the winter and apparently 3 of my horses are in foal which is SO exciting. In addition to that, my Jack Russells, Mosh and Foxy have produced a litter of 3 little puppies. Work is busy - there is always so much to do!
We have decided to increase the circuit training to 2 sessions a week (yipeee), plus my fight training, on top of the running and horses. I am going to be SO FIT. My jean size is the smallest it has ever been ( 25” waist) and my weight is also the lightest in my life (including when I was a child), so I will have to remember to eat. Not something I am very good at! Also I am really excited because I am going out on Saturday and I am looking forward to having far to many cocktails. If you are reading this we will be in Hahas - see you there. Not good at all for the training but hell you only live once.
